SUMMARY
The Cost Accountant ensures data integrity within SAP for inventory and Bill of Materials (BOM), conducting data clean-up, and establishing systems to ensure accurate BOMs. They will analyze inventory adjustments, supporting month-end close processes, and tracking job costs. Their ability to collaborate effectively and conduct ad hoc analyses will be crucial in supporting decision-making and monitoring costs associated with production and capital projects.

Duties
- Ensure data integrity in SAP related to inventory and Bill of Materials
- Data clean up within SAP related to inventory and Bill of Materials.
- Establish systems for ensuring accurate Bill of Materials.
- Conduct daily costing run in SAP.
- Assist master data management process by running costing exercises and maintain a collaborative relationship with all business areas, including project pumps.
- Analyze inventory adjustments and cycle counts.
- Assist in month-end close of General Ledger, particularly in cost, manufacturing, and inventory areas.
- Support cost improvement projects, tracking job costs, forecasting, and capturing related entries.
- Participate in and actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement in the accounting cycle.
- Support process improvement initiatives in cost accounting, expense analysis, and margin analysis.
- Assist in the annual planning process for variable and fixed costs as well as the department expense budgets.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure accuracy of Bill of Materials.
- Analyze cost implications of changes in the Bill of Materials. and provide insights.
- Monitor and report on cost variances between standard and actual costs.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand cost drivers.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis as need for decision support.
- Analyze, monitor, and report on the costs associated with company's capital projects.
- Collaborate with procurement team on the purchase pricing.
- Collaborate with sales team on the final sales pricing.
- Support audit on the inventory cost related requests.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Required
Field of Study: Finance, Business Administration or Accounting: Preferred
5 plus years of experience in accounting: Required
Proficient knowledge of standard accounting operating principles and procedures: Required
Working knowledge of state and federal tax guidelines: Required
Business knowledge of cash management, expenditure, and disbursement practice: Required
Language Skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position may work in various environments including office, factory, or home settings. This position is primarily based on site at the Yreka, California facility supporting the Company’s employees and the Busch Group USA team.
