Job Summary
In the role of Strategic Buyer you are a key member of important and challenging project. You are responsible for plan, execute and monitor the complete Source-to-Pay process – from project requirements analysis until purchase delivery – for mechanical parts, materials, electronic and electricity components and subcontracts, according to the company’s policies, assuring optimum technical-commercial proposals, namely in value and quality
Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Analyze and determine project’s requirements
- Ensure raw material arriving on time by working closely with R&D, ENG, and QA to fulfill customer requirement and align with project milestone.
- Cross functionally works to make sure issues are settled and business run smoothly (internal, external).
- Strategic Sourcing
- Market analysis and research on responsible portfolio to collect potential suppliers demands.
- Cultivate a solid working knowledge of category trends including industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, supply and demand material lead times, technical/manufacturing processes, and supplier market dynamics.
- Manage sourcing activity coordination and processes for sourcing duties relating to new product development with the goal of assuring specified quality, required delivery times and minimizing the total cost of the products and services.
- Work closely with Engineers, R&D to get the technical requirements and act as a technical liaison between suppliers and Engineers/R&D.
- Analyze all internal and external procurement information to effectively develop supply base strategies for major procurement projects.
- Initiate and drive cost management by conducting assessments to identify and qualify vendors based on quality, cost and reliability.
- Prepare procurement documentation, which is professional, well-structured and concise, uses appropriate language and contains relevant information for high value/high risk projects.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of the supplier evaluation and selection process and manage the process.
- Develop evaluation plans that allow for a multi-stage evaluation and assessment of several potentially competing criteria and complex value for money calculations.
- Handling PR/PO, mold management and payment request for samples.
- Plan and lead contract negotiations in the establishment and review of supply arrangements to deliver value for money procurement outcomes.
- Responsible for SAP Master Data management from Procurement perspective.
- Supplier Management:
- Develop and administer contract management plans, negotiate changes and modifications, supplier performance management and compliance requirements through effective supplier relationships to enhance business outcomes.
- Monitor, control and assess supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery and service level.
- Ensure improvement action is implemented and maintained
Job requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/ Electrotechincal Engineering or a similar field required.
- Personality:

- Keen attention to detail and accuracy

- Experience and Knowledge
- 4+ years of professional procurement experience in the area of electronics or electromechanical
- Extensive knowledge about supplier portfolio and price level in electronic industrial.
- Project management experience
- Proven purchasing experience, preferably within an Semiconductor or manufacturing environment
- Computer literate, to include advanced Excel skills
- User knowlege of SAP
- Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken). German/French is a plus
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with multinational corporations like Intel.
- Experience using specialized procurement software.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes
