Job Summary

Responsible for providing Embedded Software/Hardware support for operations, supply chain and R&D. Troubleshooting support for new and existing products. Helps to ensure operational goals and continuous improvement for the product portfolio. Maintains, manufacturing and test equipment to ensure highest manufacturing processes uptime and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Validate, document, and manage software, firmware, electronics hardware, and test equipment.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, from concept and integration to testing and release.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests and test benches to ensure product quality and functionality.
  • Provide hands-on manufacturing support and troubleshooting for current and future products.
  • Collaborate with global Pfeiffer Vacuum development teams to ensure alignment with existing product platforms and protocols.
  • Perform remote and on-site troubleshooting at supplier premises.
  • Maintain and repair tools and equipment, including soldering and test cable preparation.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar software and electronics engineering role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong system and component-level troubleshooting ability. Direct experience with downstream pressure control systems and vacuum valves is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle competing priorities.
    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Proficient in technical writing (test protocols, reports, SOPs).
  • Other: Proficient with MS Office suite. Willingness to travel as required.

  • Embedded systems firmware/software.

  • PCB soldering skills
  • EtherCat, Ethernet (TCP/IP), DeviceNet
  • Jenkins, HIL.
  • SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, CAN, SCI, UART interfaces
  • TI DSP C2000, C28x, TMS320x.
  • TI Code Composer Studio
  • Understand PCBA layouts and schematics.
  • Multimeters, Oscilloscopes and debugging tools.
