Job summary

The Senior Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for leading and governing all quality control activities across manufacturing operations, ensuring full compliance with:

Engineering drawings, Router, SOP and customer specifications

Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001/ Customer-specific requirement)

End-to-end quality control from incoming materials to final shipment, while driving continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and customer satisfaction.

This role acts as a key quality authority between Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Suppliers, and Customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Control Leadership (IQC – IPQC – OQC)
  • Provide overall leadership for Incoming, In‑Process, and Outgoing Quality Control activities
  • Coordinate with QA to define and standardize inspection strategies for mechanical components, assemblies, and critical parts
  • Ensure strict compliance with:
  • Engineering drawings Router, SOP
  • Customer specs, Copy Exact (CE), First Article (FAI), and change control requirements
  • Act as the final quality decision-maker for product acceptance, deviation, or release under concession
  • Adherence to Safety and 5S requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Development
  •  Lead, coach, and develop QC Supervisors, QC Inspectors, and Technicians
  • Define competency matrices and training plans for QC personnel
  • Drive a quality mindset and accountability culture across the factory
  • Support succession planning and talent development within the QC organization
  • Measurement System Monitoring
  • Ensure adequacy, capability, and compliance of:
  • Measuring instruments and gauges
  • CMM programs and advanced inspection methods
  • Oversee calibration planning, audit readiness, and measurement system effectiveness
  • Quality System & Customer Interface
  • Ensure effective implementation and continual improvement of:
  • Control Plans, SOPs, WI
  • PFMEA / DFMEA
  • Inspection and test plans
  • Lead preparation and response for:
  • Customer audits (e.g., AMAT, key accounts)
  • Certification and surveillance audits
  • Act as the primary QC representative in customer quality discussions, escalations, and audits
  • Nonconformance, Risk Management & Improvement
  • Lead investigation of:
    • Major quality issues
    • Customer complaints and escapes
  • Own Root Cause Analysis and structured problem-solving:
    • 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, risk-based thinking
  • Ensure effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to:
    • Reduce defect rates
    • Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
    • Improve process capability and robustness
  • Cross-Functional
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Management
  • Support component and process change management: Change requests, validations, customer approvals
  •  Authorities
  • Authority to stop production, quarantine material, or block shipments due to quality risks
  • Authority to approve or reject inspection methods and quality decisions
  • Authority to escalate quality risks to management and customers
  • Authority to approve QC-related procedures, standards, and training plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related technical fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and quality environments.
  • 3+ years in a senior or leadership QC role is strongly preferred
  • Proficient in quality management tools such as SPC, 7 QC tools, PPAP, etc.
  • Experience in auditing quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.
  • Proficient in using measuring equipment such as CMM, height gauges, and similar instruments.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and GD&T; proficient in their application.
  • English: Basic level
  • Computer skill: Office, SAP, Power BI….
