Job summary
The senior production planning specialist is responsible for architecting the master production schedule by orchestrating a complex synergy between material availability, equipment capacity, and labor resources. The ideal candidate is a data wizard who leverages advanced analytics, automation to transform raw data into actionable manufacturing strategies, ensuring 100% on-time delivery while optimizing operational costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the MPS and MRP for short, medium, and long-term horizons.
- Analyze demand forecasts to ensure production capacity is fully optimized and aligned with global customer requirements.
- Lead the sales & operations planning data preparation to balance supply and demand efficiently.
- Design and maintain complex Excel-based analytical tools and Macros to automate scheduling, tracking, and reporting processes.
- Build dynamic dashboards to visualize production bottlenecks, lead times, and capacity utilization.
- Utilize data-driven insights to perform "What-if" scenario planning for potential supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate closely with production supervisors and procurement to resolve critical bottlenecks and material shortages.
- Oversee the accuracy of ERP/SAP data, including BoMs, lead times, and routing information.
- Monitor production progress in real-time, adjusting schedules dynamically to mitigate delays.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through inventory optimization and lead-time compression.
- Lead or participate in lean manufacturing projects to enhance shop-floor efficiency.
- Establish and monitor key KPIs: OTD, plan attainment, and inventory turnover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, logistics, or related field.
- At least 5 years proven experience in relevant position, or similar role.
- Ability to build automated tools from scratch. Deep understanding of ERP logic (SAP preferred).
- Exceptional data visualization and statistical analysis skills; ability to interpret complex datasets to drive decisions.
- High pressure-resistance, decisive problem-solving, and influential communication skills to work across departments.
- Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
- Good at English.
