Job summary
Purchasing Executive is responsible for needs / resources balance (MRP, ...) for all purchased items by managing the customer's needs, supply plan and the replenishment backlog. Ensure material availabilities by taking actions to solve backorders and shortages. Analyze stock discrepancies and perform adjustments if required.
Key responsibilities
- Issue and communicate Purchase Orders, Forecast to Suppliers timely.
- Manage all suppliers about the production time, lead-time in the coordination with production planning team
- Follow up and update order status information into the system: delivery date, confirmation date. Manage order confirmation and shipment documents from suppliers and support Logistics team for next steps. Follow up with suppliers on delivery performance and shipment discrepancy
- Schedule POs in/out with suppliers to ensure material availability and control gross inventory, stock value and stock turn. Work with other departments for goods arrival plan
- Prepare payment request. Provide the daily supports to sales & customer services team in regard lead time, freight (SEA/AIR/Express) and incoming goods information
- Manage the related documentation and information. Complete any extra tasks assigned by supervisors/managers. Coordinate with supply and demand planners on critical supply issue for root cause analysis and preventive action
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Foreign Trade, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing or relevant major
- At least 2-3 years working experience in relevant position.
- Good knowledge of import export, logistics, warehouse, supply chain and personnel management.
- Good at communication, problem solving skill.
- Good team player.
- Good at Ms. Office.
- Strong experience in MRP
- Good English proficiency.
