Job summary

Optimizing manufacturing systems and implementing technologies like Lean or Six Sigma, it streamlines operations from raw materials to finished goods, Production process engineering is essential to design efficient workflows, enhance SAFETY – QUALITY – COST – DELIVERY.

Foster Continuous Improvement aim to build the best cost factory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily trouble shooting
  • Daily checking operation progress and support trouble shooting in the manufacturing line to ensure Quality – Cost – Delivery.
  • Documentations
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, process flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Process Optimization
  • Data analysis, process monitoring and evaluation to confirm effectiveness of manufacturing system and advice direction for improving to get the best production cost.
  • Analyzing of production process and solving the problem from root cause.
  • Evaluation and improve material flow to reduce Production lead time to enhance Customer OTD.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the shop floor.
  • Tooling, Fixture & Consumable control
  • Responsible to manage tooling, Fixture and consumable in manufacturing to ensure Quality – Cost – Delivery.
  • LEAN Manufacturing 
  • Implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of Lean Manufacturing in the production area.
  • Organizing the workshop related to LEAN Manufacturing in the Manufacturing area.
  • Co-ordinate to conduct LEAN Manufacturing maturity assessment in the manufacturing area.
  • Data Analyze
  • Analyze the data of Production Order Variance, reasons for positive or negative manufacturing variances and continuous improvement to archive the best cost factory.
  • Equipment Management & CAPEX Management
  • Co-ordinate to test, monitor, and maintain production machinery & Facilities, including purchasing new equipment.
  • Co-ordinate with Engineering department and Maintenance department for machinery tool installations, commissioning and tooling set up.
  • Prototype & Sample manufacturing
  • Co-ordinator to monitor the production of prototypes and sample in order to ensure the production process after the prototypes are completed is properly executed.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective transfer of new technologies, products, machinery, and equipment.
  • Training
  • Provide Technical training and education through providers, vendors and internal experts (theory & practical) to developing workforce in manufacturing CNC machining – Component – Assembly processes.

Qualifications

  • Functional Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a similar field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in similar positions.
  • Solid understanding of industrial engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and production systems.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing tools and techniques, time studies, and capacity modeling.
  • Familiarity with industrial engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio, ERP/MES, simulation tools).
  • Methodological Competencies
  • Analytical mindset with strong quantitative and data analysis skills.
  • Project management capabilities, including planning, coordination, and execution of technical improvement projects.
  • Structured problem-solving approach using Six Sigma, PDCA, or 8D methodologies.
  • Interpersonal Competencies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to influence and support change at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability in dynamic production environments.
  • Initiative and self-direction in driving process improvement and efficiency.
