Role Purpose:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is mainly focused on the Semiconductor market in Italy.
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for developing and managing strategic & operational commercial relationships with key customers. The role involves promoting the entire Busch Group product and service portfolio, including vacuum pumps, abatement systems, centralized vacuum systems, sensors, pressure and flow measurement solutions, leak detection instrumentation, and related services.
The main goal is to strengthen market presence, grow market share, and ensure high customer satisfaction. The position requires frequent travel, estimated at a minimum of 50% of working time, both within Italy and to Busch Group’s international sites.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage strategic customer portfolios in Italian market, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers, supporting growth strategies.
- Understand customer technical and operational needs, coordinating with internal teams (Application Engineering, service manager, Service technician, Project Manager, Supply Chain, Finance...) to deliver high-value solutions.
- Promote the full Busch Group portfolio, prepare and negotiate commercial offers, framework agreements, and service contracts (MLAs, Service Agreements, etc.).
- Monitor sales performance, provide accurate forecasts, and contribute to strategic planning.
- Collaborate with headquarters and global functions to align local actions with international strategies.
- Ensure compliance with pricing policies, margin targets, and commercial conditions, maintaining a focus on economic sustainability.
- Represent Busch Group at trade fairs, customer events, and industry workshops.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for management, highlighting commercial performance, risks, opportunities, and customer feedback.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in C4 SAP CRM; manage quotations and follow-up through the platform to ensure timely and effective sales execution.
Requirements:
Education:
- Degree in Engineering (preferably in Electronics, Mechanical, or Physics) or technical-scientific disciplines.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales roles within the semiconductor, vacuum technology, or advanced industrial equipment sectors.
- Experience in managing large accounts and/or multinational clients is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Goal-oriented mindset and ability to manage customer portfolios independently.
- Familiarity with technical sales processes, including complex proposals and technical specifications.
- Excellent command of digital tools (CRM – SAP C4C, MS Office, etc.).
- Fluency in Italian and English, both spoken and written.
