Job Summary

We are looking for a forward-thinking Manufacturing Digitalization & Automation Engineer to lead and support our journey toward smart factory transformation. The ideal candidate will drive automation, digitalization, LEAN initiatives, and CAPEX planning, while managing strategic projects to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness. This role is responsible for defining a digitalization roadmap, establishing clear milestones, and monitoring progress toward digital manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the digital transformation roadmap for manufacturing operations, aligned with company strategy.
  • Define and manage key milestones, KPIs, and performance indicators to measure digitalization progress.
  • Lead and coordinate with external suppliers to design, planning, and deploy automation systems (e.g., robotics, sensors, MES, and IoT platforms).
  • Drive LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement projects using digital tools and data analytics.
  • Lead or support CAPEX planning, vendor evaluation, cost-benefit analysis, and project execution for automation or digital systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Production, Engineering, and Maintenance to implement smart factory solutions.
  • Champion data-driven decision making through integration of real-time monitoring systems, dashboards, and visual management tools.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and change by identifying digital training needs and supporting workforce development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and data integrity standards in all implementations.
  • Benchmark industry best practices and emerging technologies in smart manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on digitalization, automation, or smart factory initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in CAPEX planning, project justification, and ROI evaluation.
  • Proven track record in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Hands-on experience with MES, SCADA, PLC/HMI systems, IoT platforms, or ERP integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Pandas, Matplotlib…) and industrial data protocols is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital transformation for manufacturing projects within the semiconductor, electronics, or precision engineering industries.
  • Certified in PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar professional credentials.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 frameworks and digital maturity models.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor to senior management.
