SUMMARY
The assembly technician will assemble Pfeiffer Vacuum standard instrumentation and/or custom integrated systems.

Duties
- Assemble equipment and machines using engineering drawings.
- Follow basic instructions and directions.
- Perform basic wiring from drawings or instruction provided.
- Understands basic mechanical principles and can determine correct tool or procedure to assemble components.
- Use engineering drawings to determine best way to assemble equipment.
- Troubleshoot potential issues before and while building the machines.
- Make changes to assemblies as required during building process.
- Read and understand electrical schematics, both hydraulic and pneumatic.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Tasks require walking, sitting, bending, reaching, mobility, and occasional lifting. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and move intermittently throughout the day. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Work requires computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, presentations and data-entry), attention to detail and accuracy. Communication skills including listening and speaking are required for interaction with other employees, vendors, and customers. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks and any stress associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position are essential requirements in the performance of this job. Secondary duties with added requirements may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications
Strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail and creative problem solving and process planning are required. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work under tight and frequently changing deadlines in a dynamic business environment is necessary.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma
Three years of related work experience.
Ability to read drawings/blueprints/schematics
High level of mechanical aptitude.
Basic knowledge of industrial machine wiring preferred
Language Skills
Essential functions require the ability to read, write and speak English.

Reasoning Ability
Assembly Technician will work on routine assignments with detailed instruction. Normally receives general instruction for routine work, detailed instruction on new assignments.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Driver’s License.
TOOLS AND/OR EQUIPMENT
Common hand tools are the responsibility of the employee; specialized tools are supplied by Pfeiffer Vacuum.
This position will use hand tools, power tools and measuring devices.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will work in a warehouse/service center. Indoor and climate controlled industrial environment.
