This is a hybrid technical role combining on-site service activities with in-house workshop repairs. The position involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing vacuum pumps and related systems( specifically including leak detectors, turbomolecular pumps, rotary vane pumps…) both at customer sites and in the company’s local service center. The balance between field work and in-house repair activities may vary depending on business needs and organizational priorities. The role contributes directly to customer satisfaction, system uptime, and overall service excellence in alignment with Busch Group high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Service Activities:
Install, start up, and commission vacuum pumps and systems at customer facilities.
Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on-site.
Diagnose technical issues and carry out troubleshooting and repairs.
Provide basic training and technical support to customers during interventions.
Document service interventions through detailed field reports and update internal systems (SAP, CRM, etc.).
Workshop Repair Activities:
Disassemble, inspect, diagnose, and repair vacuum pumps in the local workshop.
Conduct functional tests and final checks before product return.
Record all repair activities, including parts used and repair scope.
Support inventory and spare parts handling related to workshop operations.
Required Qualifications:
Technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar technical role (field service or workshop).
Understanding of vacuum systems or industrial equipment.
Good hands-on skills and ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Intermediate English (technical) and familiarity with Office suite.
Availability for frequent travel within Italy and occasionally abroad for training.
Valid driving license (Category B).
