Description of the activity:
The following tasks await you with us:
Involvement in our development process of rotary vane vacuum pumps (RVP).
Independent Reporting direct to Head of Global R&D RVP in Asslar (Germany).
Product Lifecycle Tasks
Independent implementation and coordination of product improvement activities. Carrying out analyses, evaluations for optimizing product life cycles, with improvement of stable series production conditions (e.g. First Pass Yield), cost reduction measures, supplier optimizations, etc.
Execution of product improvement tasks. Ensuring and optimizing the technical functionality of products by selecting and inserting suitable methodologies. Carrying out and coordinating the advancement of components, proactive coordination within the team, with neighboring units, and potential suppliers. Technical support for purchasing in case of technical questions.
Development and optimization of internal and customer-specific variants of existing series products.
Systematic determination of suitable solution proposals in close cooperation with the laboratory. Development of solutions ready for submission, independent implementation after approval.
Execution and coordination of design tasks accompanying the product life cycle in alignment with Global R&D team.
Timely preparation and support of topics for change management and implementation.
Participation at customer and supplier meetings on site.
Presentation and representation of the product areas atcustomers.
Providing application support within their area of responsibility.
Development activities
Consulting of the Global R&D RVP department and transfer of information from the product life cycle of existing products.Support the Global R&D RVP department and taking over development activities as required . Creation of design proposals in CAD, work instructions, test specifications, etc.
Usage of PLM Siemens Teamcenter and SAP to fulfill series support tasks regarding bill-of-material, drawings and other documents. Support local purchasing with technical documents.
Managing projects
Planning, leading and controlling product improvement projects or conducting customer-specific product inquiries, as well as optimizing existing products. Managing development projects together with the GGlobal R&D RVP department.
Technical support for quality problems
Assessment of quality problems together with quality department (internal and external) and implementation of suitable solution strategies and/or solutions. Assembly and disassembly of vacuum pumps including prototypes and test samples. Independent execution of experimental iterations. Damage analyses and test reports.
Laboratory activities
Planning & creating test orders for laboratory tests at Global R&D RVP laboratory and conducting simple ones on-site in Cluj.
Transfer of knowledge
Proactive transfer of knowledge and support for technical trainings.
Apprenticeship and experience:
Knowledge and skills are required, such as those acquired by completing a 3-year technical college education, e.g.: Bachelor or Master of Engineering with a focus in mechanical engineering or comparable.
Basic Knowledge of conducting laboratory tests, development (design), manufacturing, PLM- and ERP-Systems – Benefical: Basic knowledge in PLM Siemens TeamCenter, CAD Siemens NX, SAP
Basic knowledge in the area of vacuum pumps, ideally rotary vane pumps would be a benefit.
Performing product lifecycle tasks and leading product improvement projects requires 1–2 years of professional experience.
Very good spoken and written English. German language would be a benefit.
Strong teamwork skills, initiative, and a proactive approach to continuous learning are among your strengths.
Very good communication skills especially to the Global R&D RVP department and other stake holders within the international Busch Group and its suppliers are required.
