Description of the activity:

Independent execution of laboratory activities.

Assembly and commissioning of products and machines or components

Assemble newly developed products (incl. existing products) and components according to drawing and perform function test. Suggest, develop and implement identified improvement potentials and optimizations. Disassembly and assistance in evaluating competitor products.

Conducting and evaluating tests

Set up individual and endurance tests for qualification and develop new test set-ups in the event of corresponding problems. Perform type, scope and version of tests, adjustments. Carry out individual and endurance tests and comparison runs. Perform a detailed analysis and interpretation of the results of the tests carried out. Programming of sequence controls.

Documentation

Record results and check for plausibility. Structured and comprehensible documentation of the tests (e.g. description of the test setup, test execution and evaluation of the results with documentation of all required boundary conditions as well as tabular and graphical preparation). Creation of specifications and templates for documentation.

Laboratory apparatus

Feedthrough of maintenance, servicing and commissioning of calibration of laboratory equipment. Ensuring the availability of laboratory equipment and selection and, if necessary, requesting materials. Take-on of technical responsibility for laboratory areas and their continuous advancement (e.g. new measurement methods, test methods, etc.). Take-on and implementation of laboratory projects (e.g. setup of test benches, sound measurement room, crash room, etc.)

Supporting development activities

Technical support for development activities and advice (e.g. with regard to ease of assembly, etc.).

Technical support for quality problems

Independent assessment of quality problems (internal and external) and implementation of suitable solution strategies and/or solutions.

Transfer of knowledge

Technical cooperation in training concepts as well as feedthrough of internal training courses (e.g. bearing replacement, full service).

Work safety and environmental protection

Proactive cooperation with technical supervisors & safety professionals for company-specific maintenance and advancement of work safety in the laboratory area. Ensuring compliance with company-specific and legal requirements.

Apprenticeship and experience:

Knowledge and skills are required that can be achieved by completing at least 3-year technical vocational training, e.g. as a mechatronics technician (m/f/d) or comparable and at least 2-year technical training, e.g. as a state-certified technician (m/f/d) with a center of gravity in laboratory technology or comparable and many years of professional experience.

Basic knowledge of spoken and written English.
