Busch Vacuum Solutions has immediate direct hire opportunity open for a Warehouse Team Lead in our After Sales Department in Virginia Beach, Virginia! 

 

The Warehouse Team Lead position is responsible for leading the movement of material to and from stock locations, kit and assembly productions, unloading purchased material, and performing cycle counts when required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews / updates Shop Floor Management (SFM) boards daily, leads meetings with team members, and reviews the daily plan, and addresses concerns relative to company goals
  • Leads problem solving efforts at the team level
  • Helps to plan daily work assignments and requests overtime as required
  • Provides assistance to team member as needed
  • Escalates problems / concerns to the proper level or department 
  • Maintains on time completion of shop orders and delivery dates
  • Stimulates maximum efficiency and productivity of team members
  • Meets production quality standards  
  • Reports metrics and KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) as needed
  • Leads continuous improvement projects at team member level
  • Maintains quality goals set by management
  • Maintains regular communication with interrelated departments.
  • Ensure that correct quantity and correct material are issued
  • Verify inventory counts through weekly cycle counts
  • Check incoming material in the computer system and store in designated areas
  • Separate non-conforming material to prevent accidental use
  • Maintain spare part deliveries, foreign and domestic
  • Maintain pump deliveries, foreign and domestic
  • Maintains subcontracting paperwork
  • Ship conforming product
  • Approve the receipt of incoming product by comparison to existing inventory
  • Issue material in accordance with the bill of material
  • Raise visibility of processes contributing to errors
  • Maintain warehouse equipment (Forklifts, storage racks, PC’s, pallet jacks) per guidelines
  • Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste as directed by Management.
  • Perform processes and procedures while maintaining measurable and productive output as defined by production goals.
  • Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to the supervisor, safety officer, or human resources.

 

 

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in warehousing or manufacturing environment: Required
  • Minimum of 1 year of inventory control experience: Required
  • Experience driving a Fork-Lift (stand-up and sit down): Required
  • Experience using Lifting Assisting Equipment (cranes and hoists): Required
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Email): Required

Job Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
    • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
  • Willingness to travel domestically for training
  • Valid Drivers’ License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards

 

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
  • Constant standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
  • Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs
  • All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
