Systems Execution Intern

Busch Vacuum Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Systems Execution Intern to join our 2025 Summer Internship Program in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience in executing engineer-to-order (ETO) systems, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute an engineer-to-order system from start to finish.
• Review contractual documents, including customer POs, terms & conditions, and order specification sheets.
• Conduct thorough design reviews and oversee system production and delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Key Goals & Outcomes:

• Develop an understanding of the Busch product family and the lifecycle of a custom vacuum pump system.
• Apply project management skills in executing an ETO system.
• Strengthen organizational and cross-functional communication skills.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Inquisitive and eager to learn.
• Highly organized with strong punctuality and time management skills.
• Basic understanding of rotating machinery, piping, instrumentation, and automation.
• Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate expectations.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Education: Currently enrolled rising Junior or Senior pursuing a B.A./B.S. degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Freshman and Sophomore candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook).
• Personal Qualifications: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, and a collaborative team player.

• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen and a 7-year criminal history check.
  • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
• Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE

• Must be organized and maintain a clean and orderly workspace
• Must possess a positive attitude, be dependable, and trustworthy
• Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English

Physical Requirements

• Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
• Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs
• All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
