Busch Vacuum Solutions is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling and we are seeking a dynamic Regional Distribution Center Manager, this role will be based in Virginia.

 

In this critical role, you will be at the helm of our regional distribution operations for the Busch Group which includes Busch US, Pfeiffer Vacuum US, and Centrotherm US, tasked with overseeing inventory management, logistics, staff supervision, and operational efficiency to drive the effectiveness of our supply chain. Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the regional distribution center, ensuring efficient and effective distribution of goods.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory control, warehousing, transportation, and customer service.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of warehouse and logistics professionals to achieve high performance and morale.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align distribution center activities with the company's strategic goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Manage budgeting and financial performance, including cost control measures.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operations leveraging planning and forecasting to meet stakeholder expectations and demand.
  • Implement and leverage technology solutions to improve distribution center operations.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations.

 

Required Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution center or warehouse management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to distribution and warehousing.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, prior experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management): Preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, preferred; Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Preferred; Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Certification; Forklift Operator Certification

 

Job Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
    • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE

A current and valid driver's license must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards
