Busch Vacuum Solutions has an immediate direct hire opportunity open for a Demand Planner II at our Regional Distribution Center in Chesapeake, Virginia!
The Demand Planner II position is responsible for creating accurate and reliable demand forecasts to maintain optimal stock levels and meet customer needs. This role requires collaboration with sales, marketing, production, and inventory management teams to analyze historical data, market trends, and customer insights, ensuring forecast accuracy and efficient inventory management.

Job Responsibilities
- Forecasting: Develop, implement, and manage demand forecasts based on historical data, sales trends, and market information. Regularly update and revise forecasts to reflect changing business conditions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to align on demand planning strategies and address any discrepancies.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and adjust forecasts to prevent overstock or stockouts. Ensure alignment between production schedules, supplier lead times, and demand forecasts.
- Data Analysis: Utilize demand planning tools and software to analyze sales and inventory data. Provide insights and recommendations to improve supply chain performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and measure the performance of demand forecasts using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, fill rate, and inventory turnover.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks or gaps in demand forecasting and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
- Reporting: Prepare and present demand planning reports to management, highlighting forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and any changes in demand patterns.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to the demand planning process, tools, and methodologies, leveraging best practices to enhance forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management: Required
- Experience in Manufacturing or Industrial setting: Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Required
- Field of Study: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office:(Word, Excel, and Outlook): Required
- Proficiency in demand planning software with SAP is highly preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets and draw actionable insights.
- Experience with supply chain management systems and SAP/ERP tools.
- Knowledge of inventory control, sales trends, and demand planning best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Valid Drivers, license must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch Insurance standards.

Job Requirements
- Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
- Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
- Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
- Willingness to travel domestically for training (10%)
Physical Requirements
- Frequent reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
- Constant standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 40lbs
- Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs
- All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
