The Role

As a qualified mechanical or electrical engineer, you will work closely with a team of Design, Project and System Builds Engineers to assemble bespoke vacuum systems. 

 

Once built to our customer requirements and within the timeframes specified, the role holder will be required to carry out acceptance testing prior to working on the installation and commissioning of that system at our customers sites. You may, on occassion, also be required to carryout the installation of pipework as part of the commissioning process.

 

With a keen eye for detail and high levels of accuracy, the ideal candidate should have a solutions mindset and work to contribute to the continued growth of the business

 

The main tasks for this role will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Building of vacuum systems utilising both mechanical and electrical skills
  • Understanding piping & instrumentation diagrams, general arrangement drawings, electrical schematic diagrams and fabrication drawings
  • Pipework fitting, clamping, threading and preperation (both metal and UPVC)
  • Mechanical and electrical diagnostics
  • Acceptance testing
  • On occasion, working to ATEX standards
  • Site installation and commissioning

 

Your profile

  • Qualified to a minimum level of HND in Engineering
  • Someone who is able to build a rapport and relationships with collegues as well as customers when on site
  • A solutions mindset
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to change and willingness to learn new skills
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic
