Job Summary

The Supply Chain Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement, logistics, and inventory management for a new products system manufacturing project. This role focuses on ensuring timely and cost-effective material acquisition and delivery, adhering to project timelines, and maintaining strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

Procurement Support:

    • Assist in the sourcing and procurement of specialized components, materials, and equipment required.
    • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing, and manage purchase orders.
    • Maintain accurate procurement records and track order status.
    • Support supplier qualification processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Logistics Coordination:

    • Coordinate the inbound and outbound logistics of materials and equipment, including international shipments.
    • Manage shipping documentation, customs clearance, and transportation arrangements.
    • Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
    • Monitor and report on shipment status and address any logistical issues.

Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate inventory records of project-specific materials and components.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability to support production schedules.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations.
    • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
    • Support warehouse staff with material handling and storage.

Project Support:

    • Collaborate with project engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless material flow.
    • Provide regular updates on material availability and delivery schedules.
    • Assist in resolving material-related issues and discrepancies.
    • Maintain documentation related to quality control, and material traceability.

Compliance and Quality:

    • Ensure compliance with industry-specific quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Support material inspection and quality control processes.
    • Maintain accurate records of material certifications and compliance documents.

Others:

    • Other tasks assigned by Line Manager
    • Comply with the requirements of Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements of the company.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in supply chain or procurement roles, preferably within the semiconductor or related high-tech industry.
  • Familiarity with specialized mechanical parts, materials, electronic and electrical components.
  • Familiarity with cost analysis, budgeting, and cost-saving strategies.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of international shipping and customs procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.  
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
