 Busch Vacuum Technics Inc. is currently researching a Technical Support Specialist to join our team. 
The Technical Support Product Specialist acts as a service technical expert for our product portfolio and, as such, supports internal and external customers in troubleshooting and technical queries. In addition, they will monitor service quality issues, coordinate training activities and drive service process improvements.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Interact daily with external and internal customers to provide expert-level technical support for the company's products.           

  • Coordinate efforts of internal resources to provide and implement solutions to one-time and recurring product issues. 

  • Promptly respond to customer requests and act as the liaison between the customer and internal departments, including Sales, Engineering, and Service.

  • Support shop and field service team on technical requests and difficult repairs and complex troubleshooting (including travels across Canada)    

  • Coordinate and dispense training activities to maintain the highest level of competency of our service technicians across Canada.         

  • Support continuous improvement processes to improve quality of repairs in the shop.  

  • Work with systems department to support system start up, aftersales support and service requests for new systems sold.    

  • Coordinate All Brand capability development by supporting knowledge gathering, training, and parts sourcing.

  • Coordinate & support key suppliers for outsourced repairs and service  

  • Other activities as assigned by the manager.      

 

PREREQUISITS

  • A vocational school diploma in Industrial Mechanics or equivalent experience
  • 10 - 15 years’ experience in an industrial environment involving service and repairs of rotating equipment.
  • Specific experience in vacuum pumps service, or very stong experience with other rotating equipment
  • Availability to travel across Canada (approximately 20% of the time)

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues Interpersonal skills:
  • Aptitudes for Customer support and Training
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Functional second language proficiency where required
  • Analytical thinking, team work, sociability and a keen sense of responsibility
