Vac-Tech, a Busch Vacuum company, is a leading re-manufacturer of vacuum pumps, for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling.

 

Vac-Tech has immediate direct-hire opportunities open at our service center in Richardson, Texas!  The work schedule is Monday - Friday 7am to 3:30pm. 

 

As a Service Technician IV, you will be responsible for vacuum equipment presentation, testing, frame assembly, as well as troubleshooting, answering technical questions and training.

 

Presentation: Inspecting all components against a cleanliness specification. Prepare all surfaces for the assembly stage as per Busch specifications. Train on and use a high-level measurement device(s) using specific techniques to qualify parts for the assembly stage. Visually inspect and layout parts on a specific layout board to be used in the assembly process. Sub-component assembly will be required to assist in the assembly stage.

 

Test / Frame Assembly: Installing modules on the frame and testing all auxiliary components, as well as testing the pumps.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Aid Level 3 Service Technicians as requested or directed to achieve production goals.
  • Present parts for assembly in a standardized format using boards, tables, and/or carts according to established procedures.
  • Perform processes and procedures while maintaining measurable and productive output in line with the specified production schedule.
  • Maintain production board and product flow movements in FMS, Lean Kit or Lean as required.
  • Assist with warehouse inventory and shipping functions as needed or directed.
  • Disassembly of all Busch products and prepare documentation for estimation.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment as part of Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) program.
  • Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives per management instructions.
  • Assist with the implementing and maintaining 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste as per Management direction.
  • Provide leadership through example and sharing of knowledge and skills as per certification training.
  • Perform routing preventive maintenance on shop equipment in their defined step.
  • Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to supervisor, safety officer, or human resources.
  • Provide assistance and training to Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Service Techs as requested or directed on certified products.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste as directed by Management.
  • Perform processes and procedures while maintaining measurable and productive output as defined by production goals.
  • Follow training and procedures provided in the internal proprietary system.
  • Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to the supervisor, safety officer, or human resources.

 


Required Experience

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment: Required
  • Previous electrical experience with single and three-phase power distribution systems and controls
  • Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Possess the ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documents and troubleshoot at a module level.
  • Ability to safely and productively operate hand and power tools, as well as material handling equipment, including overhead cranes
  • Experienced in the use of measurement devices, such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, depth gages, bore gages, vacuum gages, ampere meters, multimeters, and infrared temperature gages.
  • Education: High School graduate or General Education Degree- Required
  • Computer skills: Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software- Required

Job Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to pass a 9-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
    • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Must pass respirator fit test (annual retesting required)
    • Must be willing to maintain facial hair to a minimum for respirator fitment
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
  • Physical Requirements
    • Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10lbs
    • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
    • Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying to 50lbs and pushing/pulling up to 100lbs.
  • All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
