Busch Vacuum Solutions has immediate direct hire opportunities open for a Field Service Technician III in Richardson, Texas

 

A Field Service Technician III installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and maintains the company's vacuum pumps, blowers, and systems at a designated customer location and will assist in providing training to other field service team members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform field service support, including installations and start-up, sustaining and preventive maintenance, and modifications, to vacuum pumps, system controls, PLCs and VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drives) on contracted and non-contracted customer sites.
  • Ability to Load/Copy/Update software with procedures provided.
  • Provide field support for electrical troubleshooting, in conjunction with systems and engineering teams
  • Provide on-call support or technical support when required by customer sites
  • Perform equipment health check: check base pressure, pumping speed, and test other vital components to ensure optimal performance of each system. If an issue is noted, bring to the attention of the customer to schedule downtime to repair the system.
  • Conduct advanced warranty evaluations and submit all warranty-related service reports and documentation
  • Fulfill field service safety requirements including safety training, safety certifications, and maintenance of safety equipment/tooling
  • Relay customer information to the Service Manager and/or Technical Support Team; expediting critical issues as deemed necessary
  • Accurate completion and submission of all necessary documentation and reports for assigned field activities, utilizing Busch and customer-approved programs and software within the timeline set forth by management
  • Relay pricing information on parts, service support, or new equipment to customers when requested by Sales Rep or Customer Service
  • Develop mutually beneficial business relationships with end-user customers to maintain, grow and promote the company after sale parts, products, and service(s) business
  • Report all critical information to Site Lead/Supervisor and/or Field Service Manager.

 

Required Experience

  • 4-7 years of experience with basic rotational mechanical equipment, pumps, compressors, and blowers, in an Industrial or Technical equipment field service-related position and/or relevant applicable experience: Required
  • Experience with PLCs and Variable Speed Drives: Preferred

  • Mechanical aptitude: Required
  • Electrical knowledge: Required. Education may substitute for some years of experience.
  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge and use of a laptop, basic applications, Microsoft applications such as Office and Excel: Preferred
  • Certifications & Licenses: Must maintain a valid Driver's license that meets Busch insurance standards

Job Requirements

  • Must be available for work holidays, weekends, after hours and during on-call rotation scheduling.
  • Be able to travel to customer site at short notice (as required)
  • Ability and willingness to pass a 9-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
  • Must pass respirator fit test (annual retesting required)
    • Must be willing to maintain facial hair to a minimum for respirator fitment
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
  • Must maintain a valid Driver’s License that meets Busch insurance standards
  • Physical Requirements
    • Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10lbs
    • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs
    • Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 100lbs
    • All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
