Busch Vacuum Technics Inc. is currently looking for a SERVICE TECHNICIAN to join our Delta service team.
If you have strong mechanical skills and are autonomous, passionate about your work and have good communication skills, as well 
as a sense of initiative and the will to succeed, this position is for you.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
Repairs and maintenance in the workshop & in the field (80%)
• Assess equipment received and identify repairs to be carried out;
• Determine the parts required and estimate the time needed for the work;
• Prepare an assessment to submit to the supervisor for approval;
• Refurbish vacuum pumps: dismantle, clean the parts, and reassemble the pumps, making the necessary adjustments 
according to the specified tolerances;
• Respond to service calls, diagnose problems, propose solutions, and identify parts that need to be replaced;
• Perform functional tests and record the results;
• Use various specialized equipment such as sandblasting systems, industrial washing machines, machine tools, etc.;
• Confirm the work carried out with the customer at the end of the intervention and obtain their signature on the required 
documents;
• Comply with ISO quality standards and internal processes

Support and collaboration (20%)
• Provide support to other technicians as needed;
• Perform all other related tasks as requested by the supervisor;
• Be available, on occasion, for external or urgent service calls.

At all times:

  • Ensure that the workspace (Workshop, customer and vehicle) is clean, safe, and in accordance with established 
    standards;
  • Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE);
  • Promote and encourage a positive attitude for all team members;

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• 3-5 years experience, ideally in pump repair;
• Experience with rotating equipment;
• Have worked with tight tolerences (1 thou);
• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or equivalent experience in industrial mechanical or electromechanical;
• Red Seal Millwright certificate (preferred);
• Experience in occasional external customer services repair (preferred);

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Strong aptitude for precision mechanical diagnosis and repair;
• Analytical mind, rigor, autonomy, and attention to detail;
• Team spirit, positive attitude, and sense of responsibility;
• Good priority management and ability to work on several projects at once.
