We have an immediate opportunity for a Supply Chain Coordinator at our Regional Distribution Center in Chesapeake, VA.
The Supply Chain Coordinator plays a critical part in supporting procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations to ensure on-time delivery of parts and materials. The Supply Chain Coordinator works cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers to respond to changing demand, manage inventory levels, and support overall supply chain efficiency.
This is a full-time, onsite position (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) with minimal travel.

Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Analyzes, plans, releases, controls, reschedules, and cancels materials and components that support production orders based on requirements in ERP via MRP.
- Assist the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) Inside Sales team with order entry, order confirmation, delivery creation and other duties related to the Inside Sales team.
- Generates the production schedule for kit assembly. Assists with creation of Stock Transfer Orders, and other duties related to the Buyer Planner role.
- Process order confirmation/acknowledgements for open purchase orders, to verify quantity, part number, ship date, method of shipping and pricing
- Selects the appropriate mode of transportation to meet requirements while keeping transportation costs to a minimum.
- Maintains adequate stock levels to meet production and spare parts demands while keeping inventory levels at desired targets consistent with ABC123 analysis ensuring that excess and obsolete inventory levels are kept to a minimum.
- Contacts suppliers and/or work centers regarding material problems within assigned planning codes that are either the result of demand fluctuations, delayed receipt, quality issues, etc.
- Maintains master data within ERP such as lead times, lot sizes, planning strategies, reorder points, firm - and trade off zones, and so on.
- Maintains records and documentation related to past activities, order specs, supplier specs and performance histories and provides to management as needed.
- Implement engineering changes.
- Reviews planning documents such as Planned Releases, Shortage Report, Line Leader updates, Article Inspection Reports, Engineering Change Reports, Material Discrepancy Reports, and other planning reports for correct data elements, verifies data requirements, and calculates requirements into the appropriate existing data management system.
- Ability to execute Master Production Schedule based on monthly changes in sales and capacity constraints.
- Ability to maintain Work Centers, Routings, BoMs, and other relevant master data in ERP.
- Coordinates with Accounting department and Sourcing Buyers to resolve quantity discrepancies.
- Leads task forces or group efforts related to purchasing, planning, and analysis.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and operations.
- Works cross functionally to rectify defective or unacceptable goods and subsequent plans for future.
- Participates in meetings, conferences, seminars, training, and other technical programs to remain current in material/procurement management policies, procedures, and technological developments in the industry as related to assigned function.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience
- High School diploma/Equivalent: Required. Associates or Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Preferred, Field of Study, Business, Supply Chain Management or Logistics
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment (planning, procurement, or inventory) or equivalent years of formal education: Required
- Experience with statistical or inventory planning methods: Preferred
Computer Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Strongly Preferred
- Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning): Strongly Preferred
- Experience with SAP: Strongly Preferred
Certifications:
- APICS Preferred
- Supply Management (CPSM) certification or Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Preferred
- Lean Six Sigma White Belt: Preferred
Job Requirements
- Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
- Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
- Ability and willingness to travel (up to 5%) domestically and internationally to include overnights for training purposes
- Valid Drivers’ License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards
- Employment with Busch Vacuum Solutions requires current work authorization in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday
- Occasional reaching, bending, squatting, and kneeling
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods
- Must be able to hear and respond to alarms and notifications
- Ability to wear required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, safety footwear, hearing protection) when entering warehouse or shop floor areas

Work Environment
Primarily a climate-controlled office environment within a distribution center, with occasional time spent in warehouse or shop floor areas. Exposure to moderate noise levels, dust, and moving mechanical parts may occur when supporting operations.
