This position was created to represent the Company and its sister companies to its customers. In addition, the technical representative is responsible for maximizing the business potential represented by the company’s existing and potential customers. The incumbent will be responsible for providing in-person sales coverage and managing client engagement across the territories of Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritime provinces.
More specifically, this position was created to actively promote Busch and is responsible for selling medical gas piping systems including source (medical air and medical vacuum systems, medical air quality control systems, alarms, outlets, etc.) and related service offers while cross-promoting Busch’s medical product offering. Serve customers by providing information, product demonstrations, quotations, post delivery/installation support, and generally working to exceed customer needs while maximizing profitability and meeting territorial budget.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Navigate the assigned territories efficiently in Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritime provinces, in order to minimize travel costs. Professionally and with integrity represent the company to new and potential customers in the medical sector. Asses and leverage customer potential by generating business opportunities.
Actively participates in profile building initiatives by coordinating, attending and exhibiting at select trade shows and conferences, organizing product presentations and Lunch and Learn events.
Identifies business opportunities by researching the marketplace; medical institutions, provincial government bodies having healthcare construction oversight, mechanical engineers and architects to explore and identify their needs and sales prospects. Services exist by meeting with them regularly and as required to provide information on new and existing products and services. - Follow up on opportunities and close sales, maintain constant communication with customers in order to meet defines target and objectives (financial and others)
- Visit a selected group of existing important customers and engineering firms on a regular basis in order to personalize the relationship with them and promote Busch’s expertise in the medical field.
- Follow up on all existing and potential customers in his territory to maintain the customer relationship.
- Build customer loyalty by generating maximum value from each opportunity and offering value-added solutions on equipment to ensure all required parts or supplies are ordered from the Company.
- Keeps management informed by maintaining timely and accurate records of opportunities, activities, and contacts in CRM database.
- Actively engage in project management with the engineering team to maintain involvement throughout the development of the project pre and post sales.
- Maintain knowledge by actively participating in training sessions.
- Communicate any relevant information on sales methods, techniques and sales tools; participate in drawing up marketing strategies, plans and tools; actively participate in the development of the company.
- Develop and deliver the various reports that contribute to the sales analysis in the required time
- Perform any other tasks and assume any other responsibilities that may be assigned to him from time to time by his supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and member of the PEO or OIQ preferably or collegial degree in mechanical engineering minimum with equivalent experience will be considered.
- Five years of experience in a technical position in direct relation with customer
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software.(Word, Excel, P. Point, Outlook)
- Both French and English fluency and interpersonal communication skills. Listening skills.
- Negotiation skills and ability to close a sale. Analytical mind, autonomy, sense of responsibility and good time management.
