Busch Vacuum has a direct hire opportunity for a Service Center Supervisor at our service center in Austin, Texas! The work schedule is M-F 6am-4pm.
A Busch Service Center Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the production floor, with a primary concentration on production through the designated service & repair steps. The supervisor will complete assigned duties as directed in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining an acceptable level of cleanliness and organization in the work area, and compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Maintain internal production systems used to manage the pump movements and adherence to cycle time processing

Develop production schedule and perform Gemba walks to ensure compliance

Oversee and verify correctness of Failure Analysis and conduct Warranty evaluations

Comply to all Busch policies and procedures

Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to supervisor, safety officer, or human resources
-
Perform processes and procedures while maintaining measurable and productive output
-
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals and objectives
-
Emphasis on maintaining clean and organized work areas and work-stations
-
Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives
-
Lead and/or assist the implementation and maintenance of 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste
-
Work with a high level of initiative, maturity, organization & cleanliness, productivity, attitude, attendance, and leadership

Work autonomously to achieve objectives

Perform routine preventive maintenance on shop equipment in all areas and maintain the 5S system and cleaning schedule

Assist with warehouse inventory and shipping functions as needed or directed

Ability to safely and productively operate material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, battery powered pallet jacks, etc.

Disassembly of all Busch products and prepare documentation for estimation

Assembly of all certified products

Encourage and implement process improvement ideas to Management

Participate in the evaluation, testing, and documentation of assembly methods and procedures as directed or required in accordance with GSG rules

Use company vehicle to drop off and pick up parts and supplies from local vendors such as machine shops and coaters

Domestic travel, as required, to support field service activities

Domestic or International travel, as required, for product specific training
Required Experience
-
Associate’s Degree (two-year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Business, Industrial Technology or related degree: Preferred

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, prior experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management): Preferred

Certifications & Licenses: valid driver’s license with driver history that meets Busch insurance standards
Personal Qualifications

Minimum of 18 months of related experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

Ability to or experience in providing leadership through example and ability to motivate and influence others to perform their jobs effectively

Knowledge and understanding of technical/mechanical concepts and good mechanical aptitude

Must be goal oriented and posses the ability to alter when necessary to achieve production goals

Must be detail, safety and customer-oriented

Good decision making and problem-solving abilities

Good work values, ethics and integrity, and ability to influence your team to demonstrate the same

Excellent English oral and written communication skills
Job Requirements

Ability and willingness to pass a 9-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
-
Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis

Must pass respirator fit test (annual retesting required)

Must be willing to maintain facial hair to a minimum for respirator fitment
-
Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
-
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements

Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10lbs
-
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
-
Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs

All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
